RO Hyderabad Issues Initial Lists Of Polling Stations

The initial lists of some 850 polling stations for Hyderabad district for upcoming general elections scheduled on July 25 have been displayed at the offices of the returning officers
HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jun, 2018 ) :The initial lists of some 850 polling stations for Hyderabad district for upcoming general elections scheduled on July 25 have been displayed at the offices of the returning officers.
According to the details, the Returning Officer had enlisted 850 polling stations for 3 Constituencies of National Assembly and 6 of Sindh Assembly in Hyderabad.The objections or suggestions for any change or improvement in the polling stations could be submitted to the ROs by June 16 after which the final lists would be issued.
As many as 235 polling stations and 720 polling booths have been listed for NA 225, 287 polling stations and 741 polling booths for NA 226 and 328 polling stations and 826 polling booths for NA 227 constituencies in Hyderabad.
Similarly, 103 polling stations will be set up for PS 62, 124 for PS 63, 139 for PS 64, 156 for PS 65, 191 for PS 66 and 132 for PS 67.Some 1,049,586 people were registered to vote in Hyderabad. In the 2013 general elections,Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) won 2 NA and 4 PS constituencies in Hyderabad. The remaining constituencies including one NA and 2 PS were secured by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
