Lashari and Mr. Mallah on their remarkable successes.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Abid Lashari, President of National Disability & Development Forum (NDF) Pakistan, shared his inspiring journey from childhood disability to receiving the Civil Award.
He said that challenges for children with disabilities in society were immense, but his vision was always greater than the challenges.
Mr. Lashari remarked that the opportunities did not knock at his door, but he knocked on every next door. With strong passion and belief, he kept exploring until a ray of hope slowly appeared. His commitment with his passion proved that hope never dies, and ‘never give up’ is always the way forward.
The Pakistan Civil Award is a great honour, but it is not his alone — it is a reward for untiring efforts, for rural communities, for the poor, and for the hope of a man who never gave up.”
