Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza Shehbaz remained in car throughout Nawaz's homecoming rally

The party workers said that the leaders are in luxury cars while they had to bear the humid heat.

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th July, 2018) The rally of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) workers led by Shehbaz Sharif could not reach the Lahore Airport from where Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz were arrested as soon as they landed.

According to media reports, Shehbaz Sharif led the rally sitting in the car only. Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz did not come out of their cars annoying the PMLN workers.

The party workers said that the leaders are in luxury cars while they had to bear the humid heat. Shehbaz and Hamza were in the same car. Neither they came out of the car nor did they lower the side window of the car. This disappointed the workers whose enthusiasm kept waning.

All the party leaders except Khawaja Saad Rafique remained inside their cold cars.

Moreover, the female party workers were far less in number. According to estimates, there were no more than 150 to 200 women in the rally while there were some 5000-5500 men.

PMLN president Shehbaz Sharif called off PML-N's rally at Dharampura bridge after it failed to reach Allama Iqbal International Airport late Friday.

The rally was taken out from the Muslim Mosque, Lohari Gate to receive former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz, convicted in the Avenfield Reference by the Accountability Court.

The rally was set to culminate at Allama Iqbal International Airport, but it could not reach there and later was diverted to Dharampura Bridge, where Shehbaz Sharif announced to conclude it.

In a brief address on the occasion, he claimed the PML-N would win the general election as the people would vote for his party on July 25.

He claimed that people had given their decision by participating in the PML-N rally.

Shehbaz Sharif said that it was responsibility of the Election Commission to ensure free and fair election.
