HUNGU, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Jan, 2018 ) :Ulema and Paesh imams of Thall have rejected the decision taken by provincial government of PTI to give honoraria to Paesh Imams of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Speaking at a press conference ulema of the areas rejected the honoraria saying that provincial government wanted to severe the bond of confidence that existed between ulema and people in the province.
The press conference was also attended by Member Provincial Assembly, Mufti Syed Janan. The Ulema claimed that fake lists of prayer leaders were being sent to provincial government. They said that efforts of certain elements to win loyalties of prayer leaders for their vested interests would be foiled.
They said that PTI had failed to deliver in KP and was now hatching conspiracies in connivance with secular forces. Ulema said that if provincial government was sincere it should increase salaries of ulema working in government departments.
Speaking on the occasion, Mufti Syed Janan said that ulema would foil the attempts of provincial government to influence prayer leaders by giving them financial benefits. He said that honoraria are not part of Annual Development Program and Provincial Assembly Budget. He said that ulema and prayer leaders would reject the honoraria keeping in view the policy of Wifaq-ul-Madaris.
