Work On 10 Development Projects To Begin Next Week

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Nov, 2018 ) ::Buildings department would start executing ten development projects including seven health facilities upgradation in the city from next week at a cost of Rs 30.228 million,officials said on Sunday.
Tender process of all these schemes was completed last week at commissioner's office under the supervision of tender opening committee (ToC) comprising Director Architecture Makhdoom Azhar, a representative of commissioner's office Muhammad Arfa,SE buildings Iftikhar Ahmad,XEN buildings Haidar Ali and head clerk Malik Arif.
Officials said that 14 schemes were on the agenda, however,tenders of four of them were cancelled due to issues related to estimated cost and these would be taken up later.
The schemes included construction of five lecture theatresat Nishtar Medical University and installation and commissioning of a 13-person capacity lift at Nishtar hospital and these would be completed at a cost of Rs 10.5 million.
Health schemes included remodelling of urban health facilities in South Punjab including construction of CMC at Iqbal Nagar in Multan at a cost of Rs 4.
202 million, remodelling of urban heath facility at MCH Gulshanabad Multan and remaining workat a cost of Rs 1.759 million, remodelling of health facility CMC at Timber market Multan and remaining work at a cost of Rs 2.773 million, remodelling of health facility CMC/MCH Lakar Mandi Multan and remaining work at a cost of Rs 1.724 million, remodelling of health facilities at MCH Shamsabad Multan and remaining work at a cost of Rs 1.818 million, and remodelling of health facility MCH Mumtazabad Multan and remaining work at a cost of Rs 1.793 million.
Other schemes included provision of steel racks in record room of judicial complex Multan at a cost of Rs 1.965 million, construction of information centre at Lahore High Court Multan bench at a cost of Rs 0.968 million, and installation of water filtration plant inside the high court staff colony Multan at a cost of Rs 2.726 million.
The officials said that the work orders for all the ten schemes would be issued within next two days and work would begin next week. All the schemes would be completed in three-month time.
