ZAGREB, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -19th Sept,2016) - Former Croatia coach Zlatoust Kranj car quit as Dynamo Zagreb coach late Sunday after a run of three defeats for the Croatian league champions.
Kranj car, a former star player for the club who took over only three months ago, announced his resignation immediately after a 5-2 defeat in the national championship to Rijeka. It was the club's third consecutive defeat this month following the loss against Osijek at home 0-1 and 0-3 against Lyon in the Champions League in France.
"It is certainly not pleasant to be defeated three time in a row," Kranj car said in a statement published on the club's website.
"I cannot be happy with the latest results and it is logical ....
to leave now." The 59-year-old took the helm of Dynamo Zagreb for a third stint in mid-June, replacing former international Zora Amic. The latter left to coach Saudi Arabia side Al Nassr. Kranjcar was a top scorer for the club from the late 1970s until 1984 before joining Rapid Vienna, followed by a season from 1990-91 with another Austrian side St. Polten.
