
Pakistan ODI Squad Departs For US Ahead Of West Indies Series

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-August 1st, 2025) The players selected for Pakistan’s ODI squad on Friday departed for the United States in preparation for the upcoming three-match One Day International (ODI) series against the West Indies, scheduled to be held in Trinidad.
The sources said that the key players including Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Abdullah Shafique and Naseem Shah would join the national squad in the US ahead of the series.
Following the ongoing T20I series, the full Pakistani team will travel from the U.S. to the West Indies for the ODIs.
The three-match ODI series between Pakistan and West Indies is set to begin on August 8 in Trinidad, marking an important phase in Pakistan's preparations for upcoming international tournaments.
Earlier, Pakistan cricket board (PCB) Men’s National Selection Committee on Friday named 15-member T20I and 16-member ODI squads for the three-match each series against West Indies.
The three-match T20I series will be played at the Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida, USA while the ODI series is scheduled to be played at the Brian Lara Cricket academy in Trinidad & Tobago.
The three-match T20I series from July 31st to August 3 will be followed by an ODI series between August and 12. Salman Ali Agha and Mohammad Rizwan will lead the T20I and ODI squads respectively.

Right-handed batter Hasan Nawaz is the only uncapped player in the ODI squad.
Fast bowlers Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali and Shaheen Shah Afridi return to the squad for the T20I series.
The 15-member T20I squad includes Salman Ali Agha (captain), Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Haris (wicket-keeper), Mohammad Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan (wicket-keeper), Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Sufyan Moqim
The 16-member ODI squad will comprise Mohammad Rizwan (captain), Salman Ali Agha (vice-captain), Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Mohammad Haris (wicket-keeper), Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Sufyan Moq
The management tea will consist of Naveed Akram Cheema (manager), Mike Hesson (head coach), Ashley Noffke (bowling coach), Hanif Malik (batting Coach), Shane McDermott (fielding Coach), Cliffe Deacon (physiotherapist), Grant Luden (strength and conditioning coach), Talha Ejaz (analyst), Syed Naeem Ahmad (media manager), Irtaza Komail (security manager), Dr Wajid Ali Rafai (team doctor) and Muhammad Ehsan (masseur)

10 Aug – Second ODI v West Indies, Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad & Tobago
12 Aug – Third ODI v West Indies, Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad & Tobago.
