LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Oct, 2023) The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Management Committee (MC) Zaka Ashraf has been mulling over benefitting from the expertise of the former Pakistan cricket greats in the development of young cricketers.
With to view to seek advice in the player development process to bridge the gap between domestic and international cricket under the PCB, Chairman MC Zaka Ashraf met former test cricketers Inzamam-ul-Haq (chief selector), Mohammad Yousaf and Aaqib Javed at the PCB headquarters here on Tuesday.
Zaka believes that these cricket legends have invaluable exposure at the international level and made their mark in respective areas and PCB may utilise their expertise to help the young players develop all aspects of their game.
He expressed the hope that their cricketing acumen will help in producing great players who will serve Pakistan cricket in the long run.
During the meeting Chairman MC discussed his plans to organise a specialised camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for the top talent from the domestic circuit and groom budding batters, spinners and fast bowlers.
The Chairman MC looks forward to engage with other former Pakistan greats including Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Saqlain Mushtaq and Umar Gul to seek their opinion over the development process of the current players.
