Japan Aerospace Agency Delays Launch of Cargo Rocket to International Space Station - NASA

(UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th September, 2018) Japan's aerospace agency has postponed the scheduled launch of a cargo spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS) from southern Japan, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced on its blog.

"The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has postponed the scheduled launch of a Japanese cargo spacecraft from the Tanegashima Space Center in southern Japan," the NASA said on Friday.

The unpiloted H-II Transfer Vehicle-7 (HTV-7) is loaded with more than five tons of supplies, water, spare parts and experiments for the crew aboard the ISS and a new launch date has not yet been determined, NASA said.

When launched, the spacecraft will also carry a half dozen new lithium-ion batteries to continue upgrades to the ISS's power system, NASA added.
