Belarusian, Sudanese Presidents to Hold Talks in Minsk on Monday - Press Service

MINSK (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 09th December, 2018) President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will hold talks with President of Sudan Omar Bashir on Monday in the framework of his official visit to Minsk, the Belarusian president's press service said Sunday.

"President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will hold talks with President of Sudan Omar Bashir on December 10 in Minsk," the press release read.

The Sudanese president is paying an official visit to Belarus on December 9-11, along with a delegation of ministers.

According to the press release, negotiations will be held both in narrow and extended formats and will result in the adoption of a joint declaration. A number of cooperation documents are expected to be signed in the presence of the heads of state.

The press release also added that during the talks, the presidents would discuss the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the Belarusian leader to Khartoum in January 2017, identify promising areas of bilateral trade and economic cooperation as well as discuss international issues.

Moreover, according to the press service of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a Belarus-Sudan business forum will be held on December 10 in the framework of the official visit. The event will focus on the perspectives of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Business representatives of the two countries will discuss the opportunities for further cooperation and implementation of joint projects in various fields.
