Death Toll In Landslide In Southern Brazilian State Of Rio De Janeiro Up To 14 - Reports

RIO DE JANEIRO (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 11th November, 2018) The number of people killed in a landslide in the southern Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro has reached 14, local media reported on Sunday, citing local firefighters.
Earlier in the day, local RCN radio broadcaster reported that at least nine people were killed, while two more were missing.
The Globo news portal reported that several more bodies were found on Sunday morning, and thus the death toll has climbed to 14. The number of injured individuals is currently estimated at at least 11.
The landslide hit Rio de Janeiro's Niteroi municipality on Saturday following several days of heavy rains in the state.
