Death Toll In Mexico's Gasoline Pipeline Blast Climbs To 96 - Reports

MEXICO CITY (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd January, 2019) The number of people who died in a gasoline pipeline explosion in Mexico's central Hidalgo state last week has increased to 96, media reported citing the local government.
The previous death toll stood at 93.
The local authorities said 48 people remained in hospitals, according to the Universal media outlet.
The blast occurred late on January 18 after the pipeline was ruptured in an attempt to steal gasoline. Local residents were filling canisters when the disaster happened. Mexico has been experiencing severe fuel shortages.
