Johannesburg, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jan, 2019 ) :Former international Edward Manqele scored twice for second-tier Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila when they shocked Polokwane City 2-1 Wednesday in a South African FA Cup round-of-32 tie.
Polokwane, who lie sixth in the Premiership, led 1-0 at half-time through a goal from Ghanaian Mohammed Anas, who once went viral after thanking his wife and girlfriend in a tv interview.
Manqele, a 31-year-old striker who won the first of five caps for South Africa in 2012, levelled after 56 minutes in Polokwane and snatched the winning goal with four minutes left.
Tshakhuma went into the cup tie in disarray after firing their coach just two days ago over poor results and putting two of his assistants in charge.
Elsewhere, Scot Simon Murray bagged a brace as Premiership leaders Bidvest Wits outclassed third-tier Boyne Tigers 4-0 with all the goals coming before half-time in wet Johannesburg.
Haashim Domingo, one of several reserves who started, scored two goals within 15 minutes of the kick-off and Wits doubled that advantage by the 39th minute as Murray netted twice.
There are four all-Premiership ties at the weekend, two of which involve the South African contenders in the CAF Champions League, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
Both giants are away this Saturday with Sundowns facing Chippa United in Port Elizabeth and Pirates tackling Black Leopards in remote northeastern town Thohoyandou.
