Medical Worker Arrested In Northwestern UK For Allegedly Poisoning Patients - Police

A health professional working on the stroke unit at the Blackpool Victoria Hospital in the northwestern UK county of Lancashire has been arrested on suspicion of mistreating and poisoning patients, Lancashire police said in a statement on Monday.
"She [the medic] was arrested on suspicion of administering any poison or noxious thing with the intent to injure and ill treatment or wilful neglect. She has been bailed to December 6," the statement read.
According to the statement, police were approached earlier this month by the Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust with concerns about the care being provided to some patients on the stroke unit.
The allegations were connected with the supposed patient mistreatment and neglect this month, the statement added.
