Merkel Says Germany, France Still 'Far Away' From Ukrainian Crisis Solution

MUNICH (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 16th February, 2019) The Minsk agreements have helped to bring "fragile stability" to the situation in Ukraine, yet Berlin and Paris, as participants of the conflict settlement format, are "far away" from a solution to the crisis in Donbas, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Saturday.

"There is a a sort of fragile stability now [in Ukraine] for which we worked very hard with the Minsk agreement. We tried together with France to work for a solution but we are far away from the solution if we are honest," Merkel said at the Munich Security Conference.
