MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th April, 2019) Militants breached the truce regime in the Syrian city of Aleppo over the past 24 hours, the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides said on Thursday.
"Over the past 24 hours, militants have attacked northwest of Aleppo [city], the district of Khai-al-Sheikh-Maksoud," the statement said.
The center added that Damascus continues to work on amnesty for those who evade from military service, including refugees and former members of illegal armed groups.
"As for April 17, 2019, in total 57,636 were granted amnesty," it added.
Apart from being one of the guarantors of the ceasefire in Syria, Russia also assists Damascus in the reconstruction of the country and the repatriation of refugees. Russian military release statements on truce breaches on regular basis. The ceasefire regime gets repeatedly violated in Hama, Aleppo and Latakia provinces.
