Moldova's Socialist Party Maintains Lead In Election On Party Lists - CEC

CHISINAU (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 26th February, 2019) Four parties will be represented in Moldova's parliament following general elections on Sunday, with the Party of Socialists securing 31.15 percent of the vote, the country's Central Electoral Commission reported on Monday after counting 100 percent of the ballots.
According to the commission results, the ACUM bloc won 26.84 percent, the Democratic Party secured 23.62 percent and the SOR Party was favored by 8.32 percent of the voters. Other parties failed to reach the six-percent threshold.
"Meanwhile, none of the parties has so far secured the necessary number of votes to independently form a parliamentary majority," the commission said in a statement posted on its website.
