Moscow, Beijing Agree Expansion Of Agricultural Supplies To China

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 05th June, 2019) Russia and China have agreed to expand the supply of agricultural products to China, including barley and soybeans, the Russian Agriculture Ministry said on Wednesday.
"A great amount of work has been done to develop Russian agriculture exports and expand the list of [Russian] wheat exporting regions to China.
In particular, an agreement was signed [at the Russian-Chinese summit on Wednesday] to include the Kurgan region in the list of subjects of the Russian Federation allowed to supply wheat to the Chinese market," the ministry said in a statement.
According to the statement, Russia and China also signed agreements on phytosanitary requirements for corn, rice, soybeans, barley and several other raw agricultural products.
