GAZA (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st March, 2019) As many as 16 Palestinians were injured during clashes with Israeli soldiers in the central West Bank city of Ramallah, a spokeswoman for the Palestine Red Crescent Society told Sputnik on Wednesday.
"Sixteen Palestinians sustained injures of varying severity in clashes with Israeli soldiers near the Beit El crossing point in the city of Ramallah," Erab Fuqaha said.
Late on Tuesday, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) killed two Palestinians in the city of Nablus after they threw several explosive devices at the Israeli troops.
The incident took place several hours after the Israeli forces had killed a Palestinian suspected of carrying out a deadly attack in the West Bank on Sunday, which left two Israelis killed.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict escalated in March 2018, when Palestinians launched weekly protest campaigns at the Gaza border. The protests have at times resulted in clashes between protesters and the IDF.
