The conference on Libya settlement that is underway in Italy's Palermo, Sicily gives all the sides a feeling of faith in the stabilization of this African nation, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said at a press conference on Tuesday.
"The broad Libyan presence here is, I think, a very encouraging signal and an invitation to continue with conviction on the path we have taken ... We take with us a feeling of faith in the stabilization of Libya," Conte said.
"We think important premises have been created for this process. My government never thought this was an international conference ... we really want to offer our contribution [in Libyan settlement] as a country," the prime minister added.
