Russia Collected Data On Western Research Linked To Novichok-Type Substances - Expert

Russia has gathered data on research by Western countries of Novichok-type toxins and will share it with the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) later in the week, an expert with the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry said on Tuesday.

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st November, 2018) Russia has gathered data on research by Western countries of Novichok-type toxins and will share it with the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) later in the week, an expert with the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry said on Tuesday.

"Russia has gathered additional information - that will likely be submitted to the [OPCW] Technical Secretariat this week - covering the background of this issue, including the work by Western nations on Novichok-type substances," Viktor Kholstov, the head of the ministry's analytic research center for conventions on banned chemical and biological weapons, told reporters.
