SCO Member States To Further Strengthen Judicial Cooperation

Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries agreed to further strengthen and deepen judicial cooperation, according to a joint statement issued on Friday
BEIJING, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2018 ) :Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries agreed to further strengthen and deepen judicial cooperation, according to a joint statement issued on Friday.
The joint statement was signed at the 13th conference of presidents of supreme courts of SCO member countries, which was held in Beijing, Xinhua news agency reported. The representatives exchanged views on issues including cooperation against cross-border crimes, digital court development and legal affairs in international trade.
The communication and cooperation between supreme courts of SCO member countries is conducive to maintaining long-lasting peace, security and stability in the region, as well as strengthening mutual trust and neighbour friendship among the member states, according to the joint statement.
The representatives called for cooperation against cross-border crime, and improvement in settling international civil and commercial disputes. All sides decided to strengthen cooperation to fight terrorism, separatism, extremism, drug trafficking, human trafficking and money laundering, the statement said.
The statement also noted that supreme courts of SCO member countries are willing to learn from each other, and jointly push for a more impartial, efficient, civilized and normative judicial system.
