Secretary Nielsen To Discuss Transnational Threats In Egypt - US Homeland Security Dept.

US Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen will travel to Egypt on Monday to discuss ways to counter transnationals threats, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said.
"Today, Secretary Nielsen will travel to Cairo, Egypt, as part of her ongoing dialogue with foreign leaders about the ways we, as international partners, can work together to combat emerging transnational threats," the department said in a press release on Monday.
In Cairo, Nielsen plans to meet with senior Egyptian officials, the release added. She will discuss the need for continued cooperation on aviation and border security, as well as information sharing to address evolving threats, it said.
Nielsen on Saturday met with Jordan's King Abdullah in the Jordanian city of Aqaba for talks on shared security challenges, including terrorism in East Africa, the department said in a previous press release.
