Seoul Unveils Plan To Boost Tourism

The Seoul city government said Thursday it will inject 721.5 billion won (US$644.48 million) into developing tourism over the next five years.
SEOUL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Sep, 2018 ) :The Seoul city government said Thursday it will inject 721.5 billion won (US$644.48 million) into developing tourism over the next five years.
The plan aims to nearly double the number of visitors to 50 million, including 23 million foreign nationals, per year by 2023. Some 27.5 million people, including 10.
5 million from overseas, visited the capital last year.
The city will push for 96 projects, including those for developing 20 must-visit tourist attractions, promoting medical and cultural tour programs, and enhancing the exhibition and convention sector. The city also plans to utilize advanced technologies for the tourism industry.
"Seoul Tour Voucher" will be introduced to support tourism by socially marginalized people.
