Syria Army Announces 7-day 'freeze' On Operations During Truce

DAMASCUS, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -12th Sept,2016) Syria's armed forces announced a seven-day "freeze" on military operations Monday evening, just moments after a landmark truce brokered by Russia and the US came into effect.
The army, in a statement broadcast on state television, said the freeze began at 7:00 pm (1600 GMT) and would last until midnight Sunday (2100 GMT) "in the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic".
