Talks with Belgian holdouts on EU-Canada trade have failed: Canada

OTTAWA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Oct, 2016 ) : Canadian Trade Minister Chrystia Freeland on Friday left negotiations with the Belgian region blocking an EU-Canada trade deal after the talks failed, her spokesperson told AFP.

"She walked out of the negotiations.

She walked out to leave and come back to Canada," said the spokesperson Alex Lawrence. He said the last-minute talks aimed at saving the stalled Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) "were not successful."
