US Voters Split 50-50 On Whether Mueller Report Shows Evidence Of Obstruction - Poll

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd April, 2019) US voters are evenly split on whether Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report on Trump-Russia collusion in the 2016 US presidential campaign found evidence that Trump tried to obstruct the investigation, according to a HarrisX poll commissioned by The Hill on Monday.
"Measured by all voters polled, 50 percent said they believe Mueller found evidence of obstruction, while the other 50 percent said they did not think there was evidence Trump obstructed justice," The Hill said.
However, about half of the voters surveyed that presumably opined on the obstruction question apparently were either unfamiliar with the Mueller report's contents or had not even heard of the report's release, the report explained.
The Hill-HarrisX survey was conducted from Friday to Sunday among 2,004 registered voters, although only 1,046 said they had "read about or heard of the report's release," according to the report.
Of those 1,046 voters who had paid attention to the news or were otherwise familiar with the report, a slim 53 percent said the special counsel found evidence of obstruction and 47 percent said the opposite, The Hill said.
