Provincial Health Minister Mir Naseebullah Marri on Tuesday said Southern Command will provide Rs. five billion for establishment of modern Cardiac hospital.
A Memorandum of understanding has been signed between Southern Command Balochistan and Department of Health for the purpose, he said.
Completion of this project, which is initiated with mutual cooperation of Pakistan Army and Balochistan government, would provide all treatment facilities to cardiac patients at their doorsteps.
He expressed these views while discussing the performance of the ministry at Balochistan Awami Party's Social Media Center.

He further said that the machinery requisite for conducting open heart surgery, available in major hospitals of provincial Capital Quetta, has also been made operational.
He said that Cardiac Departments in government hospitals were equipped with modern and most expensive machinery.
However, some corrupt mafia kept back these machines non-operational so that masses should move to private hospitals for cardiac treatment.
"To improve the deteriorated condition of public hospitals in the rural areas and to meet the shortage of medical officers, besides Balochistan Public Service Commission, the government has initiated a plan to appoint 175 male medical officers, 131 female doctors and 160 staff nurses on contract", he said.
These contract officers will be paid conferring to their performance, he added.
Provincial Minister said that Balochistan is a huge, sparsely populated province where provision of health facilities is no less than any challenge.
BAP's government has accepted this challenge and working for the welfare of Balochistan's people, he added.
He said in this regard provincial government has planned to make effective legislation for revolutionizing health sector in the province and two major hospitals located in Quetta would be digitalized.
