VC, MS Pay Visit To Nishtar Pharmacies To Check Medicines Stock

Vice Chancellor (VC) Nishtar Medical University Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kamal Pasha and Medical Superintendent Nishtar Hospital Dr Ashiq Malik inspected all pharmacies of the hospital to ensure availability of medicines round the clock
They visited labour room, main pharmacy store, Accidents and Emergency (A&E) And SMEH paramedics and checked the stock.
They inquired about local purchase and other medicines data at all departments of Emergency and directed official concerned to ensure 100 per cent supply.
Dr Pasha and Dr Malik issued instructions to all pharmacists for improving stores cleanliness, storage and maintenance temperature measures in addition to follow Drug Testing Laboratory report of new medicines on daily basis.
AMS Pharmacy, Dr Abdul Qadir and Director A& E, Dr Amjad Chandio, Dr Shahid Rao and Dr Khawar Rana accompanied the VC and MS during the visit.
They were briefed that over 3000 patients were admitted at Nishtar hospital by January 11 against 1700 beds and the bed occupancy rate stood at 181 pc.
MS and AMS paharmacy were trying their level best to ensure provision of medicines on war footing, it was further told.
