DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 23rd Sep, 2021) Abdulla Mohammed Al Ashram, Group CEO of Emirates Post Group, said that the "Fifty-Year Charter" is a comprehensive framework for planning the UAE's developmental prospects in the upcoming period.
In an exclusive interview with the Emirates news Agency (WAM), Al Ashram stressed the Emirates Post Group aims to support the UAE's ambitions, enabling it to make further achievements in logistical, postal service and financial fields, as well as achieve new levels of organisational excellence and operational efficiency.
Regarding the preparations for Expo 2020 Dubai, he revealed that Emirates Post is planning to launch a new souvenir postage stamp to mark the event, which is considered a key milestone in the country’s history.
The group will host the Emirates 2022 World Stamp Exhibition from 19th to 23rd January, 2022, in cooperation with the Emirates Philatelic Association, during the Expo 2020 Dubai, Al Ashram added.
Each of the participating countries will have its own post box to facilitate communication with their families and loved ones.
The UAE’s postal sector will continue its crucial role in the process of future national development. The group has taken the first step in this regard, with the country scheduled to host the Universal Postal Union Conference in 2025, he further added, stressing the group provides comprehensive postal solutions and services. It safely delivers e-tracked documents and parcels to over 190 countries.
There is still high demand for the group’s services despite the digital transformation of correspondence, he said in conclusion.
