UAE mission in Geneva participates in Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue

(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 24th May, 2019) GENEVA, 23rd May 2019 (WAM) - The UAE mission in Geneva took part in the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue (PCID), which was held in Geneva, focussing its main theme on promoting peace and education.

In a speech during the conference, Alia Hilal Al Shehhi, Deputy Head of the Mission, stressed the importance of such events in promoting the culture of tolerance, a vision strongly endorsed by the UAE leadership.

She referred to the Document on Human Fraternity, jointly signed by His Holiness Pope Francis, Head of the Catholic Church and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar His Eminence Ahmad Al-Tayib in Abu Dhabi last February and the UAE's role in promoting tolerance and peaceful co-existence.
