BEIJING, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 23rd Apr, 2019) Dr. Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to China, said that the UAE's selection as Vice President of the Forum of Cooperation among Tax Authorities of the Belt and Road Initiative is due to the work of the Federal Tax Authority, FTA.

The FTA has achieved total tax compliance by implementing a range of innovative legal procedures and automated e-systems, providing taxpayers, including governments, companies and individuals, with all required information and instructions, he added.

Al Dhaheri noted that the UAE’s selection is also due to the efforts, principles and visions of its people, who believe in their nation and its right to lead, which is the outcome of the adoption of relevant ideas and highlights the nation’s leadership, innovation and justice.

During international events, such as the forum, the UAE showcases the success of the initiatives launched and conferences held by its government, as well as the pride of its people in their national and cultural identities and their leadership, he added.

During the forum, Liao Tizhong, Director-General of the International Tax Authority and Chairman of the Tax Authority of China, said, "They came to us and said they wanted to work with us, which is a message to the public that cooperating with China in the Belt and the Road Initiative is a dream that many others aim to realise."
