Tokyo stocks open lower

Tokyo, March 5 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Mar, 2021 ) :Tokyo stocks opened lower on Friday, extending a rout on Wall Street, where investors were disappointed by Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's response to inflation fears.

The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was down 0.65 percent or 188.96 points at 28,741.15 in early trade, while the broader Topix index slipped 0.38 percent or 7.25 points to 1,877.49.
