ECP Adjourns Contempt Of Court Proceedings Against Daniyal Aziz

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2017 ) : The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday adjourned contempt of court case proceedings against MNA Daniyal Aziz, a leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) until Tuesday.

The petitioner Mehmood Khan Joiya and Daniyal Aziz did not attend the proceedings.

However, Daniyal Aziz submitted written reply in the court through his counsel. Meanwhile, the ECP adjourned the hearing of breach of election code case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan until September 20.

The counsel of Imran Khan pleaded before the court that another such nature case was being heard by High Court. ECP had taken notice against Imran Khan for conducting a public rally during the by elections in NA 63 and NA 162 last year.
