1,000 Solar System To Be Installed In Agri Field Within 100-days

MULTAN, Sept 23 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Sep, 2018 ) ::The agriculture department will install 1,000 solar system within 100-days to make drip and sprinkle irrigation system operational in different locations of the province.

According to Assistant Director Agriculture (Information) Naveed Asmat Kohloon, the solar system would be installed in fields wherein drip or sprinkle system had been installed.

He stated the Punjab government was providing drip irrigation system on subsidized rates.

The drip irrigation system is a modern way of irrigating crops and it also helped save water.

It also help reduce expenditures on preparation of crop. It is very effective system for uneven or far-off agriculture fields.

The Punjab government will offer 80 per cent subsidy on provision of solar system. The farmers, who are interested in availing subsidy on solar system, could contact the agriculture department.

Similarly, they could also download forms from the agriculture department website.

He remarked that the government was also offering 50 subsidy on tunnels for vegetables.
