303 Schemes Included In This Year's Development Program

Total of 303 development schemes have been included in District Development Program 2017-18 of which 204 are new schemes while 99 are under progress
BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 06th Nov, 2017 ) :Total of 303 development schemes have been included in District Development Program 2017-18 of which 204 are new schemes while 99 are under progress.
This was told in a meeting of District Development Committee. The committee was told that amount of Rs 7.45 billion has been allocated for these schemes. Amount of Rs 2.87 billion has been allocated for 204 new schemes while Rs 4.58 billion has been earmarked for 99 ongoing schemes.
The meeting was further told that Rs 638.69 million has been allocated for 78 schemes of Public Health Engineering Department. For 119 development projects of Highway Department, amount of Rs 2.57 billion has been allocated.
Total 60 development schemes of Building Department would cost an accumulated amount of Rs 2.
33 billion. As many as 15 schemes of Local Government and Community Development would be completed with a cost of Rs 101.66 million.
For eight development schemes of Bahawalpur Development Authority, amount of Rs 266.69 million has been allocated. The meeting reviewed 20 schemes of Cholistan Development Authority which would cost Rs 1.22 billion.
Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Rana Muhammad Saleem Afzal directed the concerned officers to ensure timely completion of the schemes and directed them to maintain high standards and quality of work. The meeting was attended by MPA Afzal Gil, MPA Shoaib Owaisi, MPA Fouzia Ayub Qureshi and officers of concerned departments.
