SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2019 ) : The Punjab Wildlife Department on Tuesday arrested four persons on the charges of hunting rare birds, in violation of a ban imposed by the provincial government on the practice in the district.

According to an official of the Punjab Wildlife Department, a special squad conducted a raid and arrested Imtiaz, Aziz, Ehtisham and Akbar from the jurisdiction of Naikapura Police Station.

The squad also set free many birds, which were recovered from the accused. The duty magistrate imposed Rs 10,000 fine each on the accused.

They will have to undergo three months imprisonment in case of non-payment of the fine.
