Aleem Orders Province-wise Operation Against Encroachments

LAHORE, Sep 23 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Sep, 2018 ) :Senior Provincial Minister Abdul Aleem Khan has directed the local government department to launch a comprehensive operation to remove encroachments in Punjab.

He said that apart from it, a cleanliness drive would also be launched through which thousands of trees would be planted and people would also be educated about the benefits of clean environment.

He expressed these views while presiding over a high-level meeting in which the decision on the campaign was made.

It was also decided that the attached and administrative departments would also be taken on board.

It was also decided in the meeting that a concrete strategy would be evolved to start the anti-encroachment campaign at the same time in all divisions of the Punjab.

Abdul Aleem Khan said that no one would be given any margin and any building constructed beyond the sanctioned drawings would be demolished.

He said that action would be taken against mafias, who had extended their houses and buildings without any lawful permission, adding that after divisional headquarters, all districts would launch the campaign, taking it to the town level soon, he added.

The senior minister said that all streets and roads would be restored to their original positions which would also help maintain flow of traffic in big cities.

Abdul Aleem Khan said that he himself would visit different cities to supervise the anti-encroachment drive.
