Anti-polio Drive Achieves 100 Percent Target In GB: Director EPI

The anti-polio drive carried out by Health department Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) achieved 100 percent of its target in the region despite strike by some of the health workers.
GILGIT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Dec, 2018 ) :The anti-polio drive carried out by Health department Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) achieved 100 percent of its target in the region despite strike by some of the health workers.
Director EPI, Dr Shakil Ahmed said on Monday, "we have achieved 100 percent target during the anti-polio drive in our region".
The three days anti-polio drive, he said ended successfully with the help of local administration especially, the commissioners, deputy commissioners, DHOs, the staff of Health Department and volunteers played the important role in making the drive successful.
He further said that parent also extended their complete support to the anti-polio teams during the drive and immunized their children against the crippling disease without any hesitation.
The Director EPI was hopeful that in future too all the stakeholderswould extend their cooperation to make the area a polio free region.
