Awareness Session For Lady Councilors Arranged

Punjab government is providing training to women councilors with an objective to create awareness about women rights and their powers in local government system.

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2018 ) :Punjab government is providing training to women councilors with an objective to create awareness about women rights and their powers in local government system.

A training session, attended by over 50 lady councilors from rural areas, held under Women Development Programme, on Wednesday.

Focal person and manager working women hostel Wajeeha Rasool while addressing on the occasion stated that lady councilors should have complete understanding of women rights.

She said that the government is taking practical steps to empower women and created many opportunities for them. On this occasion, commendatory certificates and honoraria was also distributed among the lady councilors.
