CDGP, Administration Join Hands Against Encroachments

PESHAWAR, Nov.08 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 08th Nov, 2016 ) : City District Government and district administration on Tuesday joined hands for cleansing the city from encroachments and sealed five plazas beside arresting 156 persons for establishing encroachments.
For this purpose, District Nazim Mohammad Asim and Deputy Commissioner (DC), Riaz Khan Mehsud visited Kissa Khwani, Dhaki Dalgiran, Raiti Bazaar, Ghanta Ghar Chowk, Chowk Yadgar, Sabzi Mandi, Ashraf Road, Tehsil Ghor Ghat Tree, Rampura Gate, Sikandarpura and other adjacent area.
During their visit, the District Nazim and Deputy Commissioner arrested 156 persons for establishing encroachments and also sealed five plazas. For showing negligence in duty, they also suspended a Building Inspector.
After cleansing encroachments inside the city, they opened roads for traffic. A large number of people had appreciated the anti-encroachment operation initiated by District Nazim and Deputy Commissioner.
Different bazaars association have also announced full support for the anti-encroachment operation and announced banning loading and unloading from 8:00 A.M to 8:00 P.M. Speaking on the occasion, the District Nazim and Deputy Commissioner said that complete purging of the encroachment would be completed on priority and operation in this regard would remain continue on daily basis.
On this occasion, they also ordered the sealing of five plazas on Ashraf Road and adjacent area for instead for car-parking converting basements into shops. The District Nazim directed the shifting of all arrested persons to prison.
During negotiations, presidents of different bazaars and district administration agreed on not tolerating any kind of encroachments in front of shops and incase of sell and purchase outside, both shopkeepers and vendour will be arrested.
