Says he would not have liked sitting in government against Sharifs
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th November, 2018) Senior politician Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has finally revealed as to why he didn’t join the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Ch Nisar said that he had a meeting with Imran Khan before general elections at the house of a mutual friend. Imran Khan had offered him to join PTI in that meeting but he refused.
Explaining why he didn’t accept the offer, Ch Nisar said, “I thought how it would look sitting in the treasury benches where indecent language would be used against Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif and other party members.”
Ch Nisar also formally announced parting ways with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Ch Nisar said that he does not have any contact with the Sharif family anymore.
In an interview to a local tv channel, Ch Nisar gave a statement against the action being taken by National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Ch Nisar said that everybody should be held accountable.
“Selective action against opposition party members is not accountability,” he said.
Criticising Prime Minister Imran Khan, he said that Khan has got a batting wicket. Such a wicket was only given to Pakistan Muslim League-Q before.
Advising the prime minister, he said that Khan should play straight and bring new team in the field.
Ch Nisar, who contested as an independent candidate in the general elections from NA-59 and NA-63, lost to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
