Chaudhry Fawad Hussain For Comprehensive Plan To Make APP Financially Stable Institution

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Monday called for chalking out comprehensive plan for making Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) a financially sound and stable institution and steps should be taken for bridging the gulf between its income and expenditures.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Sep, 2018 ) :Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Monday called for chalking out comprehensive plan for making Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) a financially sound and stable institution and steps should be taken for bridging the gulf between its income and expenditures.
He gave this observation during a presentation given to him on the occasion of his first visit to the corporation after assuming change as minister for information and broadcasting.
The minister gave the observation that better utilization of human resource was required to improve its performance.
He said that for capacity building of� the APP correspondents working abroad, they should be provided training besides learning those countries languages through language courses.
The minister called for pro-active role of APP in highlighting Pakistan's positive image all over the world and for dissemination of its news, it should improve its coordination with press attaches appointed in various missions abroad.
� � � � �� Managing Director APP Muhammad Masood Malik gave the minister a comprehensive briefing about the working of the institution ,its services� and news exchange agreements with various news agencies of the world.
Following the presentation, the minister issued directives for providing necessary equipment to APP.
He also said that steps should be taken to broaden the network of the institution to further improve Pakistan's image in the world.
