Chitral Floods Proved Fatal For 30 People, 26 Residents Are Still Missing

CHITRAL, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th july, 2016) : Floods washed away with them atleast 29 people dead and 26 people missing uptill now in a distant area of chitral district, officials said.
8 soldiers are probably dead in the catastrophe when floods struck their lookouts along the border, sources said. Most of the bodies were probably lying on the Afghan side of the border.there were around 30 injuries.
Local commanders were in contact with their Afghan counterparts to bring bodies back to Chitral, said one senior official. The casualties are confirmed by Provincial Disaster Management Authority spokesman Latifur Rehman according to which 29 deaths are caused while 26 people are being missing.
Residents said that cloudbursts hit Ursoon village which is adjacent to Afghanistan’s Kunar province. It triggered heavy flash flood which washed away 37 houses and damage another 48.
