CM Requested To Take Notice Of Procedure Adopted For Appointments Of Assistant Directors In SIDB

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Sep, 2016 ) : Candidates applying for posts of Assistant Directors in Sarhad Industrial Development board (SIDB) have appealed to the Chief Minister KP, Pervez Khattak to take notice of recruitment procedure adopted by management by making appointments on basis of interview by a selection committee of department instead of under taking National Testing Service (NTS) test.
“The recruitment procedure adopted by SIDB management of making appointment through department’s selection committee by avoiding the NTS (National Testing Service) system smacks of favoritism to some candidates,” alleges a candidate who applied for the post.
It merits a mention here that SIDB had recently issued advertisements in press seeking application for four posts of Assistant Directors.
For the four posts around 2000 candidates applied from across the province.
The candidate, who requested for anonymity, said KP government is making all appointments on basis of NTS service and even the recruitment of class four is made through this procedure to ensure merit.
However, to much astonishment of the candidates who applied for SIDB posts, the management is making appointment on basis of interview of candidates by a selection committee of same department.
The Chief Minister, the candidate continued, is Chairman of SIDB and being a head of the province should take notice of this appointment procedure in the department and issue directives for ensuring merit through following the NTS system. APP/adl/ff
