Commissioner Orders To Hold Monitoring Demand, Supply Of Food Items

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2021 ) :Commissioner Dr Irshad Ahmed on Wednesday issued order to hold monitoring of demand and supply of edibles provided in main food markets to relieve common man.
While presiding over price control meeting arranged here at his office, Dr. Irshad Ahmed directed the middleman's role to be put to end through strict monitoring process.
The chair asked lower authority to increase checking of vegetable and fruit markets, particularly with regard to prices of edibles offered to food brokers.
District officers concerned start visiting markets early in the morning since it is the best time to check prices, he maintained.
Commissioner asked local officers to hold traders, wholesale dealers bound to display edibles' rates on prominent places to visibly attract customers.
Irshad Ahmed said, a system to take part people into auction process of edibles in food markets was devised in well manner. Every citizen could buy goods used in common days life through the market without facing hurdles, he added.
DC Amir Kareem stated on the occasion that multiple points were created at wholesale markets.
