Compensation Cheques Distributed Among TDPs Of Serwakai Tehsil Of South Waziristan

SOUTH WAZIRISTAN, JAN 19 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jan, 2017 ) : The political administration distributed compensation cheques among Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) of South Waziristan whose houses were damaged during Rah-e-Nijat operation.
These cheques worth over Rs 50.5 million were given away in ceremony by Assistant Political Officer(APO) Muhammad Shoib Khan to � families of three villages of Serwakai Tehsil including Nuroghr azi, Torghazi and Babighazi.
Speaking on the occasion, the APO said that the amount was distributed among more than 220 TDPs families including those whose houses were either completely damaged or partially during Rah-e-Nijat drive which was successfully conducted against militants.
He said the political administration was making efforts to facilitate the people of agency who rendered supreme sacrifices and left their houses for the sake of the country and durable peace in the entire belt.
He said compensation process was in progress in a transparent manner with an objective to reach out to each TDP of the agency and rehabilitate him back in native area in a peaceful atmosphere. He also asked the people to convey a complaint if they found anyone involved in seeking bribe with regard to the compensation amount.
He said strict action would be taken against such corrupt elements as per the relevant laws because the political administration was committed to completing entire process on merit and in a transparent way, the APO added.
