Comprehensive Plan In Place For Tribal Areas Uplift: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister For Communication And Works, Akbar Ayub Khan

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Communication and Works, Akbar Ayub Khan on Friday said the government has prepared a comprehensive plan for the uplift of newly merged tribal district and welfare of its people.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Dec, 2018 ) :Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Communication and Works, Akbar Ayub Khan on Friday said the government has prepared a comprehensive plan for the uplift of newly merged tribal district and welfare of its people.
Presiding over a meeting held to review uplift projects of tribal areas, the minister informed that soon new mega projects would be initiated in tribal areas. The meeting was attended by Secretary C&W, Shahab Khattak, Chief Engineer of new merged districts, Aziz Khan and officials of departments concerned.
He said the projects already in progress will be completed within stipulated time.
The minister was told that work on around 390 projects is underway in tribal areas while 141 new projects were in offing for which Rs 9792.
46 million have been allocated.
The Minister on this occasion directed the officials concerned to maintain quality work during execution of these projects. He also directed the departments concerned to provide two months training to the officials for E Tendering System.The training session should be completed by February so that transparency could be maintained at all cost, he added.
The Minister assured the officials of C&W that their problems would be resolved on priority basis.
He said with completion of these people-oriented projects in tribal areas a new era of progress will start in the region. He stressedupon the officials concerned to avoid transfers till the process of mergence oftribal areas into settled areas is completed.
