PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2018 ) :Political and legal experts said here Tuesday Constitution of Pakistan has clearly defined the role, functions and jurisdiction of all the state institutions and issues surface when they start interference in each other's domain besides leads to confrontation, which was detrimental to democracy, progress and development in the country.
They said all state institutions should respect each others' mandate and perform its duties within their constitutional parameters and warned that any clash between two state organs would be harmful to democracy, development and progress of Pakistan.
Senior constitutional lawyer, Alamzaib advocate told APP sanctity of Parliament was as much important as any other institutions of the country including judiciary and decisions made by it should be respected by all.
"It is the Parliament, which makes laws, controlling state's finances and check actions of the government for smooth running of the democratic system and this mother institution can deliver only when its decisions were accepted whole heartedly," he maintained.

The members of the Parliament was as respected as of judges as they are enjoying overwhelming confidence of people and unnecessary criticism on them and nullifying legislation passed by the Parliament would be tantamount of not accepting verdict of people, he maintained.

MPA Rushad Khan said strong parliament was imperative for ensuring good governance, making legislation as per people and country needs and supremacy of democracy in the country. He said Parliament was a supreme constitutional institution of Pakistan and plays key role in supremacy of democracy, ensuring good governance, making of new laws besides changes in existing legislations and maintaining close check on overall working of the government.
"Democracy and harmony among state institutions was panacea of all problems being faced by the country's today and time has come that we should get united for general elections 2018."
