Constitutional allows no cut in provinces share in NFC award: PPP

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Oct, 2018 ) :Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's Spokesman Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar Friday said that the constitution did not allow any cut in the share of the provinces in National Finance Commission.

In a statement, the senator suggested the incumbent government to consult the constitution before any such move.

The government should stop thinking about meddling with 18th constitutional amendment and the NFC award, Senator Khokhar said.

Playing with the provincial autonomy and their financial rights amounted to threatening the federation since the country was already passing through the worst economic crisis, he pointed out.
